A delegation from the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award paid a visit to Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities at Bahrain National Museum, and met with Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Authority.
During the meeting, the delegation presented to the President of the Authority a presentation on the history, objectives and activities of the Award.
The Award delegation praised the various cultural programmes that the Authority supervises, which contribute to boosting the role of culture in the comprehensive social and economic development.
The delegation also expressed the Award’s desire to cooperate with the Authority in organising joint cultural events that inure to the benefit of the society. The parties also broached the cultural movement in Bahrain and the significant development that Bahrain has witnessed during the auspicious reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him.
From the Award’s side, the meeting with the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities was attended by Mona Mubarak Kanoo, the Vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award, as well as the members of the Board of Trustees Dr Ibrahim Al Hashimi, Dr Nadhem Al-Saleh, Dr Hassan Kamal, Dr Waleed Zubari, Talal Kano, and Mohammed Darwish, the Secretary General of the Award.
